Apple Releases iTunes 10.1.2 – Bug Fixes & CDMA iPhone Support

iTunes 10.1.2

Apple released a maintenance and stability update for iTunes earlier today – iTunes 10.1.2. This latest update brings a “number of important stability and performance improvements,” and at the same time support for the upcoming Verizon iPhone. However, the “Read Before you Install iTunes” document doesn’t mention “Verizon iPhone” rather it says “CDMA iPhone 4” which could be a hint that Verizon will not be the only wireless carrier that will be carrying a CDMA version of the iPhone.

iTunes 10.1.2 syncs music, movies, and more with iPhone 4 (CDMA model) and provides a number of important stability and performance improvements. iTunes 10.1 came with several new features and improvements, including: – Use AirPlay to instantly and wirelessly stream videos from iTunes to the all-new Apple TV. – Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2.

If you plan on purchasing a Verizon iPhone or any CDMA version iPhone, then you’ll need to download and install iTunes 10.1.2 in order for iTunes to work with your iPhone. iTunes 10.1.2 is now available via Software Update or via the Apple iTunes download page for Mac OS X 10.5+ and 32-bit & 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7.
