We are truly living in the age of social media. Millions of users all around the globe use different websites, mobile apps, and other platforms to communicate and interact.
When you talk about social media, the first thing that comes to mind are social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram, etc. But what most people don’t realize is that the Internet has always been social and the essentials or principles of communication haven’t changed that much, we only come up with newer and more efficient technology to replace the old ones.
Social media, when used properly and strategically over a period of time is a very powerful marketing and market research tool. It can be used to help people not only bring their goals and dreams closer but to also achieve it. The Internet, especially social media, has given us a strong and unique voice as well as the capability to reach out and interact with millions of people worldwide.
Public figures like politicians, celebrities, monarchs, and even religious leaders are also harnessing the power of social media to connect with their constituents, followers, and fans. Check out the infographic below prepared by the USC MPA, which shows us how we (common people), are becoming closer to public figures than ever before.
