PACKAGING
Just like the Quntis iPhone Fast Charger, the packaging for the e-Reading LED Task Lamp is pretty good. Not only is the quality of the packaging good but you can see that it is professional and well-designed, from the placement of the logo, product name, and product photos down to the basic product information.
DESIGN & BUILD QUALITY
This is the first time I’ve tried or used a desktop lamp that is installed/set up directly from the computer monitor so I don’t have anything to compare it to.
Based on my experience using it over the past few weeks, I can say that the Quntis e-Reading LED Task Lamp is made from quality materials. Although it contains some small, movable plastic parts, I can say that the product doesn’t feel flimsy. The only thing that I’m concerned about is the wiring, which feels a bit too thin. It would’ve been nice if the wire was thicker.
INITIAL SETUP & COMPATIBILITY
Setting up the Quntis e-Reading LED Task Lamp is quite easy. It comes with a user manual that helps guide you through the process.
After taking out the different parts from the box, all you need to do is to insert or let the USB cable pass through the opening in the middle section of the holder that is on top of the weighted clip. Once you’ve done that, insert the bar into the holder and make sure that it is placed in the middle.
The next thing to do is to remove the double-sided adhesive film on the inner surface of the holder or weighted clip. Now, adjust the position and size of the holder based on the design and thickness of the monitor you’re installing it on.
In my case, I wasn’t able to install/mount the lamp on my Dell Inspiron 5490 All-In-One Desktop because of the placement of its pop-up webcam. I have a dual-monitor setup, so I was able to mount it on my 24″ ASUS VG245 monitor and was still able to use it.
Since this device is USB-powered, it should be compatible with almost any desktop computer, laptop, or monitor. It also means that you can power it up via the USB port on the computer, via USB adapter on the wall socket, or with an external battery/charger.
Unlike regular desktop lamps, the Quntis e-Reading LED Task Lamp doesn’t have a base. Instead, it has a weighted clip that holds the lamp into place. You can easily mount the lamp on most computer monitors. It fits any monitor that has the following thickness – 0.4″ to 1.2″ (1 to 3 cm).
The lamp is flexible and has an adjustable neck that can rotate up to a 165° angle.
PERFORMANCE
I’ve only had the Quntis e-Reading LED Task Lamp for about a couple of months but so far it has performed according to how it was advertised and designed to be.
As previously listed on the basic features, this lamp has an adjustable 3-temperature color or 3 lighting dimming modes. It has 84 built-in LEDs (42 Cool White LEDs & 42 Warm Color LEDs) that allow you to select between Cool Light, Warm Light, and Natural Light.
Cool Light (allows you to concentrate and boosts work efficiency), Warm Light (allows you to relax), or Natural Light (helps increase focus and comfort).
Unlike regular desktop lamps that have a base, this doesn’t so it helps save space. Another thing that makes the Quntis e-Reading LED Task Lamp better than regular desktop lamps is the design and technology that allows it to provide enough lighting while at the same time eliminating screen glare and flickering.

Aside from that, the e-Reading LED Task Lamp has 10 different brightness levels which can be adjusted through the control buttons. It also has a built-in Memory Function that allows it to remember the last used brightness level and color temperature settings.
AFFORDABILITY
I browsed through Amazon US and Amazon Canada and saw that computer lamps or desktop lamps varied in price depending on the product design and features. For LED lamps that had the same setup, the Quntis e-Reading LED Task Lamp was priced competitively at US$39.99 and CAD$42.99.

Yes, this lamp is a great accessory for any home office. I don’t use it a lot because I usually work during the day, but when I do, it provides me with the necessary lighting and at the same time it reduces eye strain and fatigue.
