Today, October 9th (Manila time) is a big day in the Philippine Blogosphere. Why? Because later today, the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards will take place at the PETA-PHINMA Theater in Quezon City. Unfortunately for me, I won’t be able to attend the Philippine Blog Awards for the third straight year. But this year it’s different because I can witness the event even though I’m not at the PETA-PHINMA Theater. How’s that possible?
Thanks to Flippish.com, the first online Pinoy video channel, the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards will be aired lived from their website. So if you’re like me and you can’t or won’t be able to attend this year’s Philippine Blog Awards, don’t fret. Because you can watch and witness the event live on your computer or mobile device from the comforts of your home, office, local coffe shop or anywhere as long as you have an Internet connection. Oh btw, before I forget, you do need to be a registered user on Flippish.com in order to view the live stream. Registration is free and easy as A-B-C.
I’ve already registered an account on Flippish.com but I’m not 100% if I would be able to watch it because the awards night will start at 6 PM Philippine time and that’s around 3 AM US Pacific time. But I’ll do my best to stay awake and catch it. I hope somebody would record the program and upload it online so that in case I won’t be able to catch it, I could watch it later.
Congratulations and all the best to all the finalists for the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards!
