Wanna help in the fight against child pornography? Light a candle.
I found out about this from Connie’s latest post. I’ve lit a candle in support of this very worthy cause and I’m blogging about this in the hopes of spreading the word faster and to help the cause reach its goal before December 31st.
What it is about:
The innocent victims of Internet child abuse cannot speak for themselves. But you can.
With your support, we can eradicate this evil trade.
We do not need your money.
We need you to light a candle of support.
We’re aiming to light One Million Candles by December 31, 2006.
This petition will be used to put pressure on governments, politicians, financial institutions, payment organizations, Internet service providers, technology companies and law enforcement agencies who have the power to work together to eradicate the commercial viability of online child abuse.
They have the power to work together. You have the power to get them to take action.
Please light your candle at lightamillioncandles.com or send an email to [email protected]
Together, we can destroy the commercial viability of Internet child abuse sites that are destroying the lives of innocent children.
Kindly forward this email to your friends, relatives and work colleagues so that they can light a candle too.

Thanks to Connie for sharing this information.
@benj – LOL..you are sick! :D
Oh, don't mind me. I was just busy putting out the candles.
@Keith – Exactly! One of the rights of a child is to be protected from sexual exploitation. As responsible parents and adults, we should do everything we can to ensure the safety and welfare of our children.
Thanks for the comment and for dropping by! :)
This is a great initiative. Children should not be made to pay with their futures so that an adult may self-gratify. No one should be made to pay at the expense of another. I’ve got 3 kids of my own.
@benj – You should be on the show "To Catch a Predator". Hehe..Just kidding.:D
Im a bit disturbed with how they made the children look like. Were they supposed to be hot? Oh no! Don't judge meee….
@gbert – thanks!
@koolitz – hehe :D
@tess – thank you. i have that so i could minimize the spam comments that i get.
I've lighted a candle before. Stumbled on your page through Pinoy Explorer's…
By the way, I like your spam challenge question. Good thing I still remember a bit of Math. Hehe.
