Every year, Google releases a list of the top search terms or trending search terms for that year. Back in 2010, it was called Google Zeitgeist but now it’s called Googe Trends. Last week, they released this year’s list in a blog post entitled “A look back at Canada’s #YearInSearch: 2021“.
They also posted a tweet on their official Google Canada account on Twitter:
Yesterday, we celebrated 20 years of Search in 🇨🇦.
Today, we're looking at the Top Canadian searches in 2021. We searched for @NBA, @NHL, How to get a COVID vaccine, and of course, Squid Game 🦑.
