WP Theme Review: Tuut

Tuut is a 2 column, widget-ready WordPress theme by Kooc and the first ever theme released by the Tutorial Blog. Tuut is compatible with WordPress 2+ and is a clean standards compliant theme.

My Take:

I strongly recommend this theme to those who like dark colored WordPress themes. Tuut has a very sleek design, it’s widget-ready and easy to customize. I’ve tried it myself and have even created a 3-columned version on my sandbox. I like the custom background pattern, the post-date buttons and the stripes and pink arrow for the comments sections. These design elements make it a really unique theme.

If I was to use this theme for my blog, one of the things that I would change first is the header. I’d use a lighter color rather than the default black. I give it a 4 out of 5 but I still think it could use a little work and some improvements.

What do you guys think of the Tuut theme? Anyone here currently using or have tried this theme on their blog/website? What feature/s do you like or dislike from this theme? Any new features or options that you would want to see added on future versions of Tuut? Please share your thoughts by leaving a comment below.

  1. @joie – You’re welcome! I’m not sure if they made a 3 column version of this theme but it’s quite easy to convert it or add another column to this theme if you know some HTML/CSS. :)

  2. @J David – Thanks! I’ve had this as a draft for quite a while now and I couldn’t finish editing it coz I was so busy. I personally like this theme too and plan to use it for one of my projects. :)
