For all Yahoo Messenger fanatics, Yahoo has announced the new Yahoo Messenger version 7 Beta that lets users make free PC to PC calls internationally. This uses the technology known as VoIP or Voice Over Internet Protocol, just like what Skype is using.
The new Yahoo Messenger beta also has improved photo sharing, including better image quality, a new interface where you can drag and drop photos, and gives you the capability to get photos from anywhere on your hard drive.
I tried talking with my friend donjun last night but the voice and reception quality weren’t spectacular. I’d try it again and call someone from a different country and see how it does. For now, I’ll stick with Skype when making that PC to PC calls.
