29th of May, 2017 – Vienna – The Vienna-based hardware startup Robo Wunderkind, which develops modular programmable robots for young children, is partnering with Chinook’s Edge Division School in Alberta to introduce coding and robotics workshops for children in this area. The company’s objective is to give Canadian kids a chance to learn coding and robotics in a fun and simple way.
Early childhood, which spans the period up to 8 years of age, is critical for cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. The skills kids will learn at this age will to a great extent determine their lives. This is why Rustem, founder of Robo Wunderkind, decided that kids should grow up building and programming robots.

Robo Wunderkind will begin its presence in Canada from the Chinook’s Edge Division School in Alberta: the school will be the first milestone in spreading into the Canadian market. Later this year, Robo Wunderkind will be used in schools in Ontario and British Columbia to teach children the world of technology, robots, and coding.
With Robo Wunderkind, kids can just snap the modules together in different configurations to build their creations. Once the robot is built, it can be programmed in an app, which uses a graphical drag and drop style programming. No prior coding or even reading knowledge is necessary. Kids will easily create personalized virtual dashboards and control their creations to solve mazes, go on treasure hunts, play music, and navigate around obstacles – the possibilities are endless.
