Googe or Google?

Most of us are familiar with Google Doodles, the modified version of the Google logo which is used on holidays, birthdays of famous people or major events like the Olympics.

Yesterday February 14th was Valentine’s Day and as part of tradition, Google created their Valentine’s Day version of Google Doodle:

Valentine Google Doodle

Do you notice something different or missing from the usual Google logo?

I don’t know if you’ve noticed it but the name reads Googe or it seems like that to me. A lot of people noticed it and some say that Google made a mistake and missed the letter “L”. However, Google have stated that this was done on purpose. You can read more about it from Google’s Official Blog.

If you ask me, it sure does read Googe and I’m sure most of you read it that way too. Google can’t assume or expect everyone would know that the strawberry stem is the missing letter “L”, right? Well, I’m speaking for myself here because I’m not really that artistically inclined so maybe I can’t see it that way. Did any of you guys see it the way Google meant it to be? Or are you like me who read it as Googe? I’d like to know your opinion.

  1. @Major Tom – That's an interesting way to look at it! Hehe :D

    @spindoctor – Hmm..no comment! :)

    @baddie – That's good, it means you learn something from my blog. Hehe :D

    @dimaks – Haven't tried chocolate coated strawberry, have you? Hehe :D

  2. The g and l are f*cking, an act related to love, which is related to Valentine's Day. The tail of the g symbolizes the cum (which also splashed on the hapless yellow o).

  3. Looks like a typo error to me upon first sight or look. But since its Valentines Day version of the famous doodle, it might as well be an intentional misinclusion of the letter “L”, which could stand for LOVE.
