If you’re a blogger based in Cebu City, Philippines or nearby cities/provinces, you’re in for a treat this year. Why? Because of Cebu Blog Camp 2010, the first ever blogging event of its kind organized in the Visayas.

Cebu Blog Camp is an event that focuses on honing the skills of bloggers offline. This event will gather a large number of bloggers all over Cebu to discuss the latest developments on the Web, Search engines, and making money online.

Cebu Blog Camp also aims to help those just beginning in their blog journey by giving them the basics of blogging. Our Blog Camp will comprise of prominent speakers of the different fields of blogging.

Through this event one can gain a learning experience on the different opportunities online. Apart from the discussions, one may be able to form a concrete network offline as one can finally meet the other bloggers of the community in Cebu.

Cebu Blog Camp is spearheaded by Batang Yagit himself – Winston Almedras, one of the most active and popular bloggers in the Philippine blogging community. Cebu Blog Camp 2010 will be held on May 22, 2010 at the CAP Auditorium, CAP Complex, Jones, Cebu City. Registration starts at 7:30 AM while the program starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 5:30 PM.

The Cebu Blog Camp 2010 is open to all bloggers and non-bloggers from Cebu City and its neighboring cities who wish to learn the basics and advanced skills in amateur and professional blogging. The event will be FREE of charge.

I’m glad to see more blogging events like these that are being organized and started in the Philippines. Not only is this a good way to promote and introduce blogging to Filipinos but its also a good way of providing them an avenue to express themselves, increase their knowledge, hone their skills and maybe make money online.   1. Wow this will be a great event! Wish i can make it there, but knowing it’s Saturday and they don’t have evening activities anymore, then maybe i will just join next time.
