A couple days ago, WordPress released the WordPress for Nokia app. Now, it’s Android’s turn with the release of WordPress for Android version 1.3.6. The announcement was made yesterday at the WordPress for Android blog.
WordPress for Android 1.3.6 New Features:
- Multiple Media Item Sharing – select multiple items in the Android gallery app and share them to a new post in WordPress for Android.
- New Attached Media Display – media files that are added to a post is now displayed in a horizontally scrolling gallery view.
Bug fixes:
- Youtube upload fix
- Removed ‘read phone state’ permission when installing the app from Android Market.
- Improved performance on the new post and new page views.
- New account form now loads correctly.
WordPress for Android version 1.3.6 is now available in the Android Market. To download it, just visit the Android Market using your Android device and search for “wordpress“. Select and install the app published by Automattic, Inc.

@Sourish – You have a point. However, there are some people who prefer mobile blogging have tumblr like blogs where most of their posts are made up of videos, photos and short text, not the regular blog posts that we have. :)
sometimes when i see this apps , i think who used these apps , i mean how can the small screen of a mobile be used for blogging. it can only be used for approving comments and deleting spam… nothing else [ipad is an exception]
