Another $100 Google Adwords Coupon

Google Adwords Coupon

Got my first $100 Google Adwords Coupon last November which was good until the end of December but unfortunately I wasn’t able to use it until it expired. I know of some publishers who received Google Adwords Coupons last Valentine’s day and I was thinking that I’d also get one but I didn’t. I was surprised when I checked my inbox this morning and saw that Google sent me another $100 Adwords Coupon.

Again, I got this Google Adwords Coupon because I was a Google Analytics user and not as an Adsense publisher.

Dear Google Analytics user,

You already know that Google Analytics helps you gain rich insights from your website. But did you know that when you combine Google Analytics with Google AdWords search advertising, you can get even more from your website — more traffic, more qualified visitors and more business. With Google AdWords, you can easily create ads that appear next to relevant search results on Google, and target potential customers at the precise moment they’re searching for the products or services you offer.

We invite you to try Google AdWords risk-free with this $100 introductory advertising coupon. Your coupon expires on March 31, 2010.

Although I’m still not sure how I’m gonna use this coupon (what keywords I’ll be advertising for), I will definitely not let this opportunity pass me the second time and make sure that I use this coupons. Btw, I received two different sets of Google Adwords Coupons and I was thinking that I would giveaway one but I don’t know if that’s allowed. If not, then I’ll just probably use it after I’ve used up the first coupon. Both coupons won’t expire until March 31st of this year so I still have more than a month to work on it.

Any suggestions or tips for a first-time Google Adwords user like me? I’d also appreciate it if you have any keyword suggestions that are related to my niche/topics that I could use for advertising in Google Adwords. Thanks in advance!

  1. AdWords isn’t plug and play, and its as set it and forget it as some people would have you think. It requires lots of testing, refining, and targeting. I have managed PPC campaigns for 6 years for several different companies and have yet to find one that you can get right on the first shot. If you’re not getting sales, and blowing through your whole budget, then you’re keywords and ads may not be the best. Are your ads showing a strong call to action that correlates with your landing page? Its difficult, and if you’re not willing to put in the time to get it right, don’t blame Google because you didn’t put in the effort on your end. And secondly, sure you have you invest $5 to get started, but $5 to potentially reach all the people searching on Google for your products? That’s something to complain about? And they give you $100 to use during your first experimental phase of advertising so you can make mistakes on their dollar. Put in the effort to get it right, or hire someone who will. Don’t blame Google, because when done right, it WILL work, I have never seen it not work personally, or talked to anyone who invested time in it find it not work.

  2. yes I had $100 + the $20 google makes you pay to activate your account(what a SCAM!) The $120 is gone in about two months and I have yet to see a single sale resulting from this.

    Honestly, it’s quite inefficient.

  3. I keep getting this thing myself, and I’m not sure what to do with it, if anything. I’ve had interesting results from running Adwords campaigns before, but none of them resulted in sales.

  4. I have about $300 dollars worth of AdWords coupons, one from GoDaddy, one from AdSense, and one from Hostgator. Thx god I have not signed up for an account before. They charge you $5 when you set everything up for the coupon so it isn’t exactly free and if you have multiple coupons like I do, you have to use them within the first 15 days of activating your account.

    Read the fine print.

Facebook Coupons are transferable and I have one if anyone is interested:

BTW, retweet the post if you decide to use the Facebook Coupon. Thx.

  5. @Chris – Thanks for the additional info. Good thing you mentioned about those limitations, I’m new to Google Adwords so I barely know much about it. As far as I know, I haven’t created a Google Adwords account so I think I can use the coupon. If not then, that sucks!

  6. I also got an $100 adwords coupon via analytics, however, there are limitations regarding its use. First, you can’t give it away, which is a bit annoying. Second, you can’t use it on your existing adwords account, it’s only good with new accounts – this is what turned me off. So I have yet to use it somehow.

Anyone know if I can have two adwords accounts that use the same cc?

  7. Awesome Jaypee. I have received a coupon myself a while back and I used it for promoting my blog as well as some affiliate programs and products I was reselling. It worked great although the conversions where not too good. Guess the key was to have a good landing page to entice people to convert. Thing is, are you going to use it for monetization or promotion. Either way, it is good to give it a try. Work well on those keywords or limit the cost the lowest possible. Those 100$ can disappear in a flash.
