HP Envy 4520 Wireless All-In-One Photo Printer

We’ve had the Canon Pixma MX340 for about eight years now and we’ve never had a single problem with it. The printer has been very reliable and we wouldn’t even think of replacing it had it not been for the issue of finding ink cartridges.

We could hardly find any ink cartridges online or any brick and mortar stores. If we did find them, it would be online and be like three to four times the regular price. Because of this, the logical and practical option was to buy a new printer.

After checking out different stores, we found one at Staples. It was the HP Envy 4520 Wireless All-In-One Photo Printer on sale for a very low price of $51.91. The SRP or suggested retail price was $129.99 meaning we were getting it for less than half the price. We didn’t even have to think twice and immediately bought it.

As you can see from the photo abogve, the package comes with the printer itself, power cord, software CD, 1 x Black HP 63 ink cartridge, 1 x Tri-color HP 63 ink cartridge, setup flyer and print guide. Like most printers, the package doesn’t include a USB cable which wasn’t an issue because we were able to use the cable from the old printer.

Setting up was a breeze. It took me less than 10 minutes to do it. You can choose to do it using the included software CD or if your computer doesn’t have an optical drive, you can download the software and other necessary drivers from the official HP website.

I really like the HP Envy 4520 not only because we got it for cheap but because it has everything we need and want from a printer. It has a better design and smaller profile than the Canon Pixma MX340 and only weighs about half of it. The HP Envy 4520 also prints a lot faster and is way quieter than the printers we’ve had in the past.

Another thing I like about this printer is that I can easily print documents, emails and pictures directly from my mobile phone. This is made possible by the HP Smart mobile app that’s available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
