While trying to find out more about the WordPress Board Game, I came across an interesting new WordPress theme provider called WPCharity. I say “interesting” because not only do they sell their “premium” WordPress themes for only $1/each, but 25% of that amount is donated to various charities and humanitarian organizations.

One of the themes from WPCharity that caught my attention is the theme named “Sepeda” which is Indonesian for “bicycle“. This theme is a clean and simple, 3-columned, WordPress theme based on the Sandbox framework and 100% FREE. (Not all themes offered by WPCharity are for sale, some are FREE to download)

Features:

  • Supports WordPress 3.0
  • Simple, clean and light
  • Custom header
  • Threaded comments
  • Easy to read text in the content
  • Two-column sidebar
  • One widget in one sidebar
  • Using Yanone Kaffeesatz font from Google font API for title
  • Using Molengo font from Google font API for default
  • Drop-down menu (page) on header
  • Different style for admin on comment posts
  • Optional image content using border (default) or none (using class=”noborder”)
  • Based on Sandbox theme

Sepeda is a clean and simple, widget-ready theme that has a decent amount of features and options. It has a custom header, gravatar and threaded comments support. It’s a good theme option if you plan to use the Sandbox framework and its FREE!

I like what WPCharity is doing – how they’re using their talents to create nice WordPress themes, selling it and donating a part of the proceeds to charity. I hope more WordPress theme providers do this. If you don’t need a WordPress theme but feel like donating a certain amount to charity, you can send your donation via the WPCharity website.

Preview or Download (registration required) the Sepeda WordPress Theme.
