@jan – I think you mean you screen the people you follow, coz you have no control on who follows you. For me, I try to follow as much people as I can especially those who are in the same niche or ones that are in my interest, then I screen the tweets on TweetDeck so I only see the tweets from people I choose. :)

Re the matter of creating a massive following in twitter: It's not for me. I'm not selling anything. I'm even screening my followers. For example, I will not follow anymore users who have dollar signs or money for you and its derivatives as their usernames. It's grating to the ears. And distasteful to say the least.You're right.
