Aside from it’s clean, sleek and professional design, the Graphite WordPress theme also has very good typography. It also features a very nice image slider with cool transitions on the homepage. Graphite is widget-ready and has built-in gravatar support. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to support threaded comments. Overall, the Graphite theme is still a very beautiful WordPress theme that should fit not only creative companies and individuals but any WordPress user who likes these types of themes.

This free photoblogging theme for WordPress that I’m sharing with you today is called Mansion. This theme was created and released by Graphic Paper Press, the same site that gave us the Work-A-Holic portfolio style WordPress theme.

My Take:
The Mansion photoblogging theme is another beautiful freemium WordPress theme from Graphic Paper Press. It has all the features and options that most photobloggers need in a WordPress theme. I really love the design and look of the homepage with the thumbnails and I also love how it has a flexible width layout, making it compatible with any screen size/resolution. I’m in the process of creating and uploading my photoblog and will be using the Mansion theme for it.

There’s nothing much else to say about the Mansion WordPress theme because the theme speaks for itself. Kudos to the folks of Graphic Paper Press for creating this beautiful photoblogging theme and releasing it for FREE to the WordPress community.

My Take:
The Brave Zeenat WordPress theme is a simple, clean and beautiful portfolio style theme that you can use for your online portfolio. It’s widget-ready, has several category and page templates, has a nice jQuery-powered slider on the homepage. Another cool thing about this theme is that the theme download includes the sources file or PSDs for the templates, page headers, portfolio titles, logo and buttons so the user can basically edit and customize the look and feel of the entire theme. Aside from that, it also includes a Help Document that can help you with the installation, configuration and customization of the Brave Zeenat theme.

Brave Zeenat requires the use of third-party WordPress plugins – WP PageNavi and Limit Post, both are included in the theme download.

Overall, the Brave Zeenat is a clean, simple, lightweight portfolio style WordPress theme that’s highly customizable. Kudos to the folks of Dizeno Co for creating and releasing the Brave Zeenat WordPress theme for FREE to the community!

While I was browsing through my drafts, I found a few WordPress theme review draft articles. It was then I realized that I haven’t done a WordPress theme review in a long time. The last review I did was for the gForums WordPress theme, which was more than three months ago.

Today, I’ll be reviewing and sharing with you the Smooth theme – a simple, minimalistic WordPress theme created by Benoît ‘LeBen’ Burgener of My Tapestry.

This widget-ready theme is dedicated to writers. Its simplicity, light grey background and large fonts put the content ahead. Nothing useless, just fine typography and a touch of colors.

My Take:
The Smooth WordPress theme is a good choice for those looking for a simple and minimalistic blog theme. It’s lightweight so it loads fast and has the basic features most bloggers need from a WordPress theme – widget-ready, threaded comments support, paged comments support and gravatar support. The theme page mentions that it supports threaded and paged comments but based on the demo, it seems that it doesn’t because I don’t see any way to reply to other comments. Maybe the demo wasn’t properly configure, I dunno but I hope the theme author can clarify this.

Another feature that I’m sure many users would like is the auto-resizing script for content images. This comes in very handy when you post a lot of in-line images and don’t have the time to resize the images.

As the theme documentation states, the Smooth theme is preconfigured to work with some third party plugins: Subcribe to comment and I like this (created by the author of this theme). Meaning, the theme was designed to work with these WordPress plugins however, the user can choose not to use these plugins and the theme will still work fine without them.

Overall, the Smooth theme is a simple yet elegant looking, minimalistic WordPress theme that I’m sure many users would love.
