Earlier this morning, I noticed that my Feedburner chicklet shows that there are only 113 RSS subscribers for my blog. I guess Google Feedfetcher had another hangover. Hehe

At first I was hesitant to try it because of my experience with AuctionAds. Basically, I was disappointed with the results and performance. However after reading further, I found out that they’re totally different from each other. AuctionAds is a CPA or cost per action product which means earnings are unpredictable while with ShoppingAds, earnings are predictable because its a cost per click product. ShoppingAds CPC’s currently averages at $.25 which is way higher compared to what I average on AuctionAds and with that I decided to give it a try. What I did was I replaced the 160×600 AuctionAds ads with the one from ShoppingAds. I’ll let it stay there for a month or two and see if it performs better than AuctionAds.

Right now, ShoppingAds is still in private beta so you’ll need an invite and an activation code to be able to login, generate a code and start using it on your blog.

Btw, I noticed that when I first logged in to ShoppingAds, their logo and website looked exactly like AuctionAds but a few days later they changed it to something new.

I guess they wanted ShoppingAds to have its own identity so users won’t associate it with AuctionAds. One more thing, I observed that the ads sometimes displays products that don’t match to the keywords that I specified. I’m not sure if its a glitch in the system or it really displays some “choice” ads. Anyways, this thing is still in beta so somethings might not work as planned and could be fixed as time goes by.
