The folks from WordStream has created and released this pretty infographic called “Where Google Makes Its Money: The 20 Most Expensive Keywords in Google AdWords“, which details the top twenty keywords or keyword categories in terms of CPC (Cost Per Click) and how much advertisers are paying for them.

Without looking at the infographic, try to come up with a list of what you think are the most expensive keywords. If you made a list, keep it and compare it with the infographic. If not, no worries. Just go ahead and enjoy the infographic.

It’s interesting to know that 97% of Google’s income/revenue come from advertising. For those of you who made a list, how many keywords on your list are also on the infographic? Were you able to guess the top keyword or maybe any of the top three most expensive keywords?

The letter that the Google Adwords Gift Card came with is different from the previous letters I received. This letter talks in the first-person point of view and is created like an application letter, with Google Adwords trying to convince the user to “hire” Adwords, which makes the letter more engaging and convincing IMO.

Pretty interesting, engaging and convincing letter don’t you think? Beside from that, who doesn’t want an employee who won’t ask for a raise, right? Hehe

Anyways, I think I’m gonna use this Google Adwords Coupon this time for a project I’m working on. If I won’t be using it, I might give it away to one of the readers here on JaypeeOnline in a form of blog giveaway so watch out for it. It’s not surprising to see Facebook on the #1 spot and as a WordPress user/advocate, it’s nice to see WordPress.com hit the 12th spot. If you go through the list, you’ll find a number of big-time blogs like The Huffington Post, Engadget, Gizmodo, Mashable and TechCrunch. It’s also interesting to note that there are no adult websites and ad networks on the list which I believe were intentionally excluded from the list by Google.

The Ad Planner 1000 list will be a very useful tool for Google Adwords users, giving them an easier and more convenient way to target and find large-traffic websites that accept ads and at the same time, help them make the most of their Google Adwords coupons.
