src="http://maxcdn.jaypeeonline.net/images/wrist_charger.jpg" alt="Wrist Charger" />

A few years back, I blogged about a multi-gadget charger called ChargePod which is very useful for people who own a lot of gadgets because it lets you simultaneously charge cellphones, PDAs, headsets, digital cameras, iPod or any mp3 player and almost any mobile gadget with a single power cord.

The thing about the ChargePod is that you need an outlet to be able to use it and charge your devices. What if you’re always on the go or on the road and don’t have access to any outlets? What you need is a portable universal gadget charger. ThinkGeek has you covered with this cool wrist charger which they call the Bracer of Battery Life +2.

Here’s a short product info from ThinkGeek’s product page:

The Wrist Charger, or as we like to call it, Bracer of Battery Life +2, straps comfortably to your wrist and plugs in to just about any electronic device you like. It’ll power cell phones, mp3 players, gaming systems, or any device compatible with mini USB. Now you’ll have plenty of power to get through long days traveling (or long lines at the DMV, we’ve been there, too!). When you reach your destination, simply plug your bracer in and charge its battery back up so you’re ready with plenty of entertainment for the long trip home.

Features:

Rechargeable Lithium ion Battery (1,500mAh, 5.5V)

Capacity: 1,500mAh, 5.5V

Input: DC 5V

LED Indicators – Power-On and 4 Levels Power Meter

On/Off button design

Dimension: 256 x 34 x 12mm (approx.)

Weight: 82g

Connectors:

iPhone

Nokia II (2mm)

Nokia I (3.5mm)

Mini USB (for Motorola/HTC/Dopod/MP3/MP4)

LG

Samsung i900

Sony Ericsson

Sony PSP

NDS Lite

Nintendo DSi

Product Photos:

The Wrist Charger aka Bracer of Battery Life +2 is available at ThinkGeek for $34.99. Aside from being portable, I really like the Wrist Charger because of it’s mini USB compatibility which will let you charge most of today’s gadgets and mobile devices. I was planning on getting one myself but I found out that it was already out of stock. However, I signed up for an email notification when this product gets available again. If you’re interested in purchasing one, you could do the same.

What do you think of the Wrist Charger aka Bracer of Battery Life +2? Is it something you’ll buy and wear? What other features or options would you like to see added to it? Please share your thoughts.

Chargepod lets you simultaenously charge cellphones, PDAs, headsets, digital cameras, iPod or any mp3 player and almost any mobile gadget with a single power cord. Just choose from 1,000 different device-specific adapters from the Chargepod website, attach them to the Chargepod and say goodbye to other chargers, adapters and power cords.

Basic features:

Charges up to 6 devices at the same time

Small, portable and lightweight

Eliminates the clutter from having multiple chargers

Compatible with over a thousand mobile devices such as cell phones, Bluetooth® headsets, PDAs, digital cameras, mp3 players and portable gaming systems via device-specific adapters

Chargepod has interchangeable power adapters and uses voltage regulator technology to make sure your gadgets are safely charged regardless of the brand or model.

If you’re a techie or gadget freak and own several mobile devices, you’d want a Chargepod. It’s small, portable and lighweight. You can use it at home, in the office or when you’re traveling.

The Chargepod starter pack for Apple iPod, Motorola, Blackberry, Nokia, Palm Treo, Sony PSP devices costs $99.95, while you can build your own customized Chargepod starting at $49.95.

I’d love to have one but right now, I don’t really need it since I don’t have that much gadgets to use it with. I only have a laptop, digital camera, cell phone and pocket pc. Maybe if I have two more gadgets, then I’ll get myself a Chargepod.

So what do you think? Is the Chargepod multi-gadget charger something you’d consider buying or not? Share your thoughts!
<div
