2007 was a great year for me and my blog. I would call it the coming of age for JaypeeOnline. For what started out as my personal blog, has now turned into a more focused blog. I”ve never imagined my blog to reach this far but I’m very proud of it. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank my family, friends and loyal readers because without them, all of this won’t be possible. You guys are the driving force, my inspiration. Thank you so much!

Here’s a short list of the achievements, events and other stuff for JaypeeOnline in 2007:

• JaypeeOnline was featured in Manila Bulletin’s Blog-O-Rama segment. Thanks to Ms. Annalyn Jusay for the opportunity.
• Finalist in the 2007 Philippine Blog Awards – Technology Category. I still don’t know who nominated me, but whoever you are thank you very much!
• Finally got my own paid hosting and moved JaypeeOnline over to Dreamhost.
• This was also the year JaypeeOnline joined b5media. Gotcha! That was my April Fool’s post.
• Made my first paid review or sponsored post.
• Shifted focus from personal blog to Blogging News and Reviews.
• Accomplished my goal of reaching/exceeding 100 RSS feed readers and almost doubled it. If you haven’t subscribed to my RSS feed yet, now is the best time to do it. Subscribe now!
• Got my first officially “bought by blogging” gadget, the Canon Powershot S3 IS.
• I was finally able to create and start my weekly feature which I named the Weekend Roundup.
• Sponsored the Blogger’s Kapihan 2.0: BlogEd 101. My first time to sponsor such an event and most certainly won’t be my last.
• Got my second “bought by blogging” gadget, the Compaq Presario C714NR.
• Made it to Basapa’s list of 2007′s Top Pinoy ProBloggers.

Aside from all these stuff, what made this year a blast was getting to meet and make new friends from the blogosphere. And that folks, is the year that was 2007 for JaypeeOnline.

So far, 2007 has been a really good year for me and my blog. Why? Early this month, my blog – JaypeeOnline was featured on Manila Bulletin’s Blog-O-Rama section. Next, JaypeeOnline was nominated for the Technology category in the recent Philippine Blog Awards and unexpectedly made it as one of the finalists. And now this, JaypeOnline has just joined one of the largest global blog networks – B5Media.

I’ve been dreaming about this day and I didn’t expect it to be so soon. It’s really a great honor and opportunity for me to be a part of this great blogging network.

Sorry, I was only daydreaming..hehe Happy April Fool’s Day everyone! :D

I enjoyed my one day of fame. And now, I’m experiencing a little bit of writer’s block. Not that I don’t have anything to write about coz I have several drafts ready for posting but it seems that I can’t decide on which one to publish. Is this post-interview syndrome? Hehe I just made up that term. I don’t even know if there’s such a thing as that. Maybe I should ask Retz, Karla or Ade, they should know coz they have been previously featured and interviewed in Blog-O-Rama.

Anyways, I’d like to thank everyone who congratulated me by leaving comments here on my blog, sent emails, sent IM’s or left messages in Friendster. I still haven’t seen or read the print version of the interview. I’ll probably get to see it by the end of this month when I receive the copies of Manila Bulletin that I asked my mom to get for me.

Writing this post is my way of getting rid of writer’s block. Writing about anything helps in clearing your thoughts and helps you focus. It works for me and you can try it too. :)

Today is a great day for me and my blog. We got featured in the Blog-O-Rama section of the Manila Bulletin, March 5th issue.

Last Wednesday, February 28th, as I was checking my Yahoo inbox, I was surprised to see an email from Annalyn, much to say an email with the subject “Request for Interview”. The moment I read the subject line, I knew what it was about. Honestly, I was overjoyed! I’ve been dreaming of this day. Even though I felt like my blog was not yet worthy, I’ve been hoping that my blog would be featured in Blog-O-Rama but I wasn’t expecting it to be this soon.

I haven’t seen the print version yet coz as you know I’m here in California. I’ve asked my parents back in the Philippines to get copies of today’s paper. I’m not sure and correct me if I’m wrong but I think the print version is more complete than the online version.

I’d like to thank Annalyn Jusay of Manila Bulletin (inspite of the short notice. hehe) for giving me the opportunity to be interviewed and have JaypeeOnline featured in both the print and online version of the Manila Bulletin.
