David Beckham is coming to America.
David Beckham turned down a two-year contract extension and will leave Real Madrid when his contract expires on July 1st. He will join the MLS (Major League Soccer) team, Los Angeles Galaxy. With this move, MLS organizers hope to boost the sport of soccer here in the United States.
“There are so many great sports in America,” the former Manchester United star said. “There are so many kids that play baseball, American football, basketball. But soccer is huge all around the world apart from America, so that’s where I want to make a difference with the kids.”
David Beckham’s 5-year contract with the Galaxy is reportedly worth $250 million.

@ash – Hehe..you should’ve researched and studied the rules first. You could also ask a friend who knows about the basic rules of soccer and explain it to you. I hope you get to play next time! :D

Yeah, the rules. I was going to try out for the late Soccer Tournament in our company but just backed out. I’m afraid they will ask me about soccer. hehe

@jim – really? your cousin must be a soccer fanatic or a girl, right? hehe..just kidding. I’ll see if I can get to watch a LA Galaxy game live.
@verns – hehe..finally! :D
yup, same here. I’ll also switch teams for that kind of money. Probably his former team didn’t have enough money to spare since they have a lot of superstars in their payroll like Roberto Carlos, Van Nistelrooy and Raul.

@jim – I’m pretty sure there will be an increase in fans and tv viewers for the MLS next season. especially girl fans. hehe :D
@ash – you mean the rules? it’s not really that hard. just learn the basics and the rest you learn when you keep playing it or following it on TV.
@pining – we can’t really know what his real agenda is but let’s just hope that he went what he said about making a difference with kids.
