2008 Philippines’ 10 Funniest Blogs

The 2008 Philippine Blog Awards was just recently concluded and the winners were announced and trophies handed out. Among the categories listed in those awards there is no category for the best humor blog.

However, this is a certain project that aims to recognize these humor or funny blogs from the Philippines. This project hasn’t come to my attention up until now when I read about it from my friend Dimak’s recent blog post. The Project Lafftrip Laffapalooza was started by Badoodles of the Kwentong Barbero (Barber’s Stories) blog. Just recently, the winners were announced and below is the list of the top 10 funniest blogs in the Philippines.

Aside from that there’s also an entertaining and funny video presentation by Umleo23, which is mostly done in Tagalog (Filipino). So apologies to those who can’t understand Tagalog.

Congratulations to the top 10 funniest blogs in the Philippines and to the organizers of this project especially badoodles for a job well done. Hats off to Leonard Allan (Umleo23) for a job well done. Great video presentation. Very entertaining and funny. I almost fell off my chair in the “nosebleed” part.

Hopefully, a category for the Best Humor Blog would be added in next year’s Philippine Blog Awards.

  1. @badoodles – If you continue this next year, I’m sure you’ll get cover posts and probably more than you had this year. Regardless of who started it, the fact that you spent much of your time and effort for this event makes you a vital part to the success of the Project Lafftrip Laffapalooza.

You’re welcome and more power! :D

  2. if that means getting another cover post like this, alright, I’d sure as hell work like an ass for another one. [o not againnnnnn..]

well im not even sure if i really started this. everyone just got involved and supportive and started pitching whatever for free. like that loko ambo and dimaks guys. you’ve been had. there’s no humor search. it’s all in your mind.

    thanks thanks. more next year

  3. @ChiQ – I only know Reyna Elena and have read Inday’s Blog before, but the others are totally new to me. Haven’t visited all of them but will do when I get the time.

OT: Long time no see. How’s it goin? :)

  4. From Dimaks, cut n paste ko na lang:

What makes them funny siguro is, lahat tagalog, taglish, at puro may tagalog expressions . Pero if you’re a first time visitor, nosebleed, di ako makatawa or hypocrite lang siguro ako, hahaha.

  5. @umleo – You’re most welcome! Btw, I should be the one thanking you for creating that very funny and entertaining video.

Regarding your question, since many of my readers are from different parts of the world, I prefer that comments are done in English. However, I am proud to be Filipino and I don’t mind people leaving comments in Tagalog. Ayoko naman na magka nosebleed ang tao para lang makaiwan ng comment in English dito sa blog ko. :D

Thanks for the compliment. Hope to see you here often. ;)

  6. Hi! Thanks for the greetings! Wow! So hmmm I do need to speak english when commenting on your blog entries and stuff like that… OMG! <<<<LOLx

Thanks again! And nice blog btw. :)
