Good news for Mac fans and users! There’s a new program that can help you “pimp” out your pictures and images for your web albums, web sites or blogs. It’s called Picturesque, a new application from Acqualia that is designed to make images look gorgeous on the web.

What’s with the name? Picturesque is defined by Dictionary.com as “visually charming or quaint”. Just from the definition of it’s name alone, you know that this program is about beauty and designed to make things beautiful, which in this case are images.

Picturesque has an easy-to-use animated “drag and drop” interface. With Picturesque, you can easily create reflections, soft glows, delicate curves, strokes and fades to any image and you don’t have to be an expert to do it. To start creating a “beautified” image, all you have to do is drag an image to the main window and choose from the different options the type of effect that you want to apply to the image and your “beautified” image is done in seconds. One of the best features of Picturesque is it’s ability to “beautify” or create an effect to a whole folder of images with just one click of the mouse.

One of the things bloggers can do to improve their blog posts is to use unique images in their posts. With that in mind, I’m sure that bloggers would love Picturesque because it’s a great and easy way of creating unique and eye-catching images not only to improve their blog posts but also to attract readers.

What are you waiting for? Try Picturesque – Make Images Gorgeous.

    @J David – I got this one from ReviewMe. Aside from ReviewMe, I also registered with BloggerWave and I haven’t tried PayPerPost. Sorry, I don’t know which one to recommend. It’s better if you try them out for yourself.

    It says that this is an advertisement. Through which company did you get this? Do you recommend a particular pay per post service?

    @SexyMom – Cool name for a Mac! Hehe :D

    I really wish I could get myself a MacBook Pro. You guys are so lucky and fortunate to be able to get a Mac. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get one, heck I don’t even have an iPod. LOL :D

    @J David – Yup, it is a cool program and if I had a Mac, I would purchase this and use it for my blog posts. :)

    I think it is a really cool program, BUT it will further simplify things for mac users. I know, it sounds like a good thing, but i feel like a lot of this easy to use mac software is just making everything look the same. iWeb is kinda cool when you first use it, but then you soon realize that there are only so many things you can do with it; and the average user will just stay with the template and maybe add a pic; now they will add a pic with a uniform effect. Maybe I am just bitter that I went and learned css and xhtml and picture editing software… who knows…
