@Clayton – The Philippine blogosphere and the Filipino bloggers are quite vigilant especially with these types of situations. Yes, bloggers are very influential in other countries but even though we’re not influential bloggers we need to make sure that are articles aren’t biased or prejudiced.

It’s good to see the blogging community maintain vigilance with respect to this incident. I like how in other countries, sometimes it’s the bloggers who provide leads and guidance to the mainstream media’s reporting of news.

@archondigital – I agree. The problem is, the majority of the voting population in the Philippines are uneducated so we end up with people in office who are either influencial, rich or popular. Some of these officials get appointed not because of their skills and knowledge but because of the favors they did for the government officials who are now in office. In Philippine politics, it’s not what you know, but who you know.
