Most of the infographics I’ve shared and posted here are mostly about global statistics. Since the majority of the regular readers and visitors here on JaypeeOnline are from Asia, I’d like to share an infographic I came across a few days ago that focuses on the social media statistics in the Asia-Pacific region.
Created by the folks from Burson-Marsteller, a global public relations and communications firm, this infographic details different Internet statistics like – user growth, Internet penetration, mobile penetration, top social networks and preferred social media channels of certain Asian-Pacific countries – Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Asia-Pacific Social Media Statistics infographic
It’s not surprising to see Facebook as the number one social network in most of the countries listed. It’s only in China, South Korea, Japan Vietnam and Taiwan that Facebook isn’t the top social network. Personally, I’d love to see an updated version of this infographic that includes statistics for Google+.
