Microsoft Blogger’s Night

When I was in still in the Philippines a few years back, there were hardly any blogging events, conferences or any blogger meetups. I envy my kababayans (compatriots) because these days, there are so many events for Filipino bloggers like the iBlog Philippine Blogging Summit, Blogger’s Kapihan, WordCamp Philippines, etc and lots of blogger meetups like the “Plurk Fiesta” which is popular among local bloggers. Bloggers are also invited to company sponsored events like product launches and press releases.

Even though I’m here in the US I still get invitations for some of these events but unfortunately, I couldn’t attend any of these events because I’m not in the Philippines. Earlier today, I got an invitation for a certain event which I would like to share to my readers and other Pinoy bloggers in the Philippines who might be interested to attend.

The event I’m talking about is called the Microsoft VIP Mix, a monthly social gathering organized by Microsoft Philippines which gives select communities a unique VIP experience and creates a venue for open dialogue. This month’s event is called Microsoft Bloggers Night which is dedicated to Filipino bloggers.

Microsoft Blogger’s Night

When: Thursday – January 28, 2010 @ 6:00 PM
Where: Microsoft Philippines Office
Address: 16/F 6750 Ayala Office Tower – Ayala Avenue, Makati City

Microsoft Bloggers Night

The Microsoft Bloggers Night will provide you an opportunity to mingle with your fellow bloggers and Microsoft executives over drinks and games. The event will feature technology previews on Microsoft Office 14 (Microsoft Office 2010), Online Security and Online Blogging Resources.

This event is open to all bloggers with active blogs that are atleast 1 year old with a minimum of 20 posts. Technology, News and Media, Entertainment, Food, Travel and Lifestyle bloggers are welcome to join Microsoft’s Bloggers Night.

If you’re a local blogger in the Philippines, especially in the Metro Manila area, I recommend you to attend the Microsoft Bloggers Night. This is a great opportunity to meet other bloggers, make contacts and expand your network. Aside from that, there’ll also be freebies and prizes to be given away. If only I was in the Philippines, I’d definitely attend this event.

Anyone interested or planning on attending the Microsoft Bloggers Night?
