In season three, we had Jasmine Trias and Camile Velasco. Now, we have another kababayan joining the competition.
I just found out today from The Cat that there’s another Fil-American in the fifth season of AI. Jose Penala is one of the 24 finalists who will be sent to Hollywood with the hopes of becoming the next American Idol.
Even now, he already has a fansite, JosePenala.com created by his loyal supporters. You can also see a video of his SF audition in Rickey’s post. Many are saying he might get disqualified becoz he was a part of a group that recorded an album. But then, he’s no longer a part of any group. I just hope he gets through and make it to the top 10 or 5 or 3. Hehe. Pinoy reprezent!

Sway is so good in his genre. WHat happened to him lately? Did he produce an album already?

he’s into R&B/Soul. he was previously a member of a fil-am group named 6th day. hope he makes it to the top 12. :)
