I’ve seen this before in some of the blogs that I regularly visit and I wasn’t really interested in doing it. I also wasn’t sure on how accurate it was.
A couple days ago, while I was trying to think of something to blog about, I saw that Trench posted about this celebrity look-alike thing. I decided to give it a try and see if it does work and if it’s accurate. So I uploaded the most recent photograph of myself and did the test. I don’t wanna comment but just take a look at the results of my face recognition test. You be the judge.
I don’t think I look like any of these guys. It’s totally unfair for them. Hehe. Anyways, for the female version, the closest match that I got was Pamela Anderson.
If you wanna give it a try, click here.

@oyo – Probably but from what I know, they use face recognition software and use different aspects of the persons face for comparison then match it with what they have on their database.

My younger sis is recommending My Heritage to me but I was not interested.
I would agree with the result. You have resemblance with Peter Andre and Ricky Martin. Naks.
By the way, I moved my blog to http://blog.jammedph.com. Paki-change yung link ko. Thanks.

@trench – livin la vida loca? hehe :D
@joni – well, they do ask you to submit a photo that’s facing front so it would be more accurate. yup, it was fun doing it.
@jhay – cool software! yeah, i think government agencies now use this in the fight against crime and terrorism. actually, it’s a tie between Ricky Martin and Gareth Gates. hehe
@dre – you should have posted it in your blog. :)

I did this once, and it says I look like Boa (the asian singer) and Penelope Cruz hehehe

Yup, the software takes a wire-frame version of of your face based on the photo you give and it will try to match the resulting pattern to its database of celebrities. Quite neat really. I think this technology is being used to screen passengers in some airports in Europe and America as part of their anti-terror measures.
But dang! Ricky Martin eh! :D

tried this as well. my friends and I think that they just base their comparison on the:
1. face angle
2. hair
3. eyes
Hehe.. Dunno if it’s accurate. But it’s fun trying it out especially with friends. We all had a good laugh. :)

Ricky Martin? hehe.. I think they go by bone structure or something. Eyes, and lips.
