Yes, I’m back. It definitely feels good to be back to my home sweet home! I missed the comforts of my bed & bathroom, my dogs and of course, the Internet.
Unfortunately, my free webhost changed something in the server settings and it affected my database causing my blog to go offline most of the time I was away. So if you were here earlier and tried but couldn’t access my blog, now you know the reason.
Even though I wasn’t able to go online during my trip, it didn’t feel bad coz I was busy most of the time helping out in the medical mission and the evangelical crusade. It gives you a sense of contentment and joy when you get to help other people and see their happy faces. During the medical mission, I was asked to help assist in a surgical procedure. At first I was nervous because I don’t like the sight of flesh and blood, one of the main reasons why I didn’t go into nursing or any profession in the medical field. I had no choice coz it was an emergency and I knew the doctor. Anyways, it was a surgical procedure that was supposed to take out a small cyst or growth in a two-year old girl. I felt bad and I pitied the little girl who kept crying and calling out for her little brother. But I was glad coz the operation was a success, I survived the procedure without fainting hehehe and as it turns out, the little girl is my distant relative.
I also had some time to meet relatives, taste some native delicacies and dishes and visit some places, including my uncle’s beach resort. I planned to drop by Bacolod even for just one day but the schedule didn’t allow me to.
Below are some photos I took during the medical mission. Also, try to see if you can find me in one of these photos. Hehe
