You might be wondering what the title is about or what it means. Most of you know what T.G.I.F. means, right? Well, T.G.F.A.Y. is the acronym for Thank God For Another Year. Do you have any idea why I chose this title for my entry? Today is the 25th of July, the time of year when I get older coz today is my birthday.
I looked up Wikipedia’s definition of birthday. Here’s what they have:
A birthday is the date on which a person is born, marking the day a life begins. It is customary in many cultures to celebrate the anniversary of one’s birthday, for example by having a birthday party with classmates, friends, family and even kids; gifts are often given to some such person who has a birthday. It is also customary to treat people specially on their birthday, either generally acceding to their wishes, or subjecting them to a rite of transition.
I am really thankful to God for all the blessings I’ve received. There’s so much blessings that He has bestowed upon me that I can’t enumerate all of them. Although I didn’t get the mp3 player in my wishlist, I can’t complain and be disappointed coz God has been so good to me and my wife. Despite of my shortcomings, God continues to bless me and provide me with all my needs.
I’d like to share two verses from the Bible that I found earlier.
We should give thanks to God for all types of situations:
I Thessalonians 5:18, NIV. “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
We should not forget where all our blessings come from:
Psalms 103: 2, NIV. “Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”
Before I forget I also like to greet Laurie’s younger brother who is also celebrating his birthday today.

@rose - welcome back! thanks for the birthday greeting. yup, got married recently. i posted about it earlier but i guess you weren’t online to read about it. anyways, you were asking about kids right? well, me and my wife are expecting the first one around end of December or first week of January. we still don’t know if it’s a boy or girl though. i don’t mind if it’s a boy or girl as long as the baby’s healthy.
