Mini Me

I know, it’s time for an update. One of the reasons why I haven’t posted new entries is because I’ve been quite busy the past few days and coz our DSL hasn’t been activated yet. I’ve already called my ISP and talked to their tech support and hopefully have it working in a couple days time.
Although I post a lot of entries about gadgets, technology and anything about the web, this is still my personal blog. So I’m gonna post about something that really means a lot to me.
Before anything else, if you don’t know yet, my wife is now 4 months pregnant.
Last Wednesday, my wife and I went to the hospital to have her ultrasound scan scheduled by her OB-GYN. It took some time to have the paperwork done and for sitting at the waiting room. When my wife’s name was called, we went inside and we were escorted to the ultrasound room. We were both excited and couldn’t wait to see what the ultrasound monitor would show. Before it started, the sonographer asked if we wanted to know the baby’s gender and we both said “Yes”. So the sonographer started scanning, trying to locate the baby. I was so happy when I saw how our baby looked like for the first time. I saw the heart beating. The baby kept moving so the sonographer had a little difficulty in scanning and getting a profile of the baby. Later on, the sonographer was able to get the right angle and determine the baby’s gender. The sonographer stopped and pointed on the screen and said, it’s a boy. I was so happy!

My wife wanted a girl and I wanted a boy. But it wasn’t like something of a very great deal. It was just a matter of preference or personal reasons. My reason for wanting to have a boy is because I’m the only child and I want to have someone to carry on our family name. Actually, we didn’t mind if it was a boy or a girl as long as he/she was healthy. Most importantly, we are really thankful to God for blessing us with a baby. We continue to pray that our baby would be born normal, healthy, & without any problems and also for my wife who would be going thru the painful process of giving birth.
