Charice Pempengco, together with producer/songwriter and 15-time Grammy Award winner David Foster were recent guests in Good Morning America, one of America’s top-rated morning shows to promote David Foster’s latest CD/DVD “Hitman: David Foster & Friends.” Charice is one of the performers included in this album alongside big name music stars like Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Brian McKnight, Andrea Bocelli, Kenny G, Michael Buble and Katharine McPhee.

Charice wowed the cast and audience of Good Morning America with her own rendition of Whitney Houston hits “I Have Nothing” and “I Will Always Love You”.

She also sang her own version of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive”.

When asked about Charice, David Foster was all praises and even made a comparison to Celine Dion.

“She just kinda reminds me of the first time I saw Celine singing in a tent when she was 18 and I told Celine that she would sing with Barbra Streisand. And I told Charice that she would sing with Celine and it’s all come true. She’s amazing,”

Charice is becoming a household name here in the US. Aside from her guest appearances in the Ellen Degeneres Show and the Oprah Winfrey Show, her duet with Celine Dion at Madison Square Garden, she has also recently performed at the Carousel of Hope and Macy’s 150th anniversary.

Charice Pempengco is currently here in the US to record her first international album, which is scheduled to be released early next year.

We wish you all the best Charice! You make our country and us, Filipinos proud. God bless!
