Generate Backlinks and Revenue with Qassia

I’m sure some of you have heard about Google’s knowledge base project called “Knol” which is currently in private, invite-only beta testing phase. Now, have you heard about Qassia? I’m not sure how it’s pronounced but someone told me that it’s like Google Knol but better! With that said, I immediately signed up and registered.

I’m sure you have a lot of questions about Qassia, what it is about, how it works, etc. I don’t want to bore you with copy-pasted info from their FAQ page so here’s my attempt on explaining what Qassia is and what it is about.

Before I went into my two-month hiatus, I read about the launching of a new social network for bloggers called “Entrecard”. I forgot where I first read about it but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to know or learn more about it. Finally, when I got back online, I was able to read some reviews and posts about Entrecard. I liked the idea and it caught my interest so I decided to sign up like two weeks ago.

WordPress Comment Moderation Notifier

6. January 2008

WordPress Comment Notifier is a cool application created by How-To Geek that will help you save time by notifying you of new comments awaiting moderation in your WordPress blog right from your desktop.

Many people like myself don’t completely trust the various WordPress spam filters and elect to moderate all comments before they show up on the actual site, which ends up flooding your email with moderation notices.

In my quest to keep a clean inbox, I’ve created a small application that notifies me directly on my desktop when new comments come in to the moderation queue. It accesses the WordPress XML-RPC API by means of a small Wordpress plugin that I’ve created.

With today’s technology, you can communicate with people even if they’re located thousands of miles away or even if they live in a different continent. You can send letters and other important documents via email and facsimile but this method takes time before you get the other party’s reply or correspondence. With instant messengers, you can chat with them in real time and get their response immediately. And if you want it to be more …

HowTo: File a Google Webmaster Tools Reinclusion Request

3. January 2008

Several months back, after my blog’s PageRank dropped after two successive Google PageRank updates I mentioned about my plans of filing for a site reinclusion request at Google Webmaster Tools. One of my readers, Aahz left a comment and asked me how to file a site reinclusion request. I promised him that I would post about it. A promise is a promise so even if this is a bit late, I hope this answers your question Aahz and I hope this would help others who might be interested in filing a site reinclusion request but don’t know how to do it.

Btw, most people know or call this as a “reinclusion request” but Google refers to this as “reconsideration request”. Why? Because not all penalized sites or blogs get removed from Google’s index so reconsideration is more accurate than reinclusion. Got it?

Logitech V450 Cordless Laser Mouse

When I purchased my Compaq Presario C714NR, I knew I would be needing a new mouse to replace my old and broken A4 Tech mini-sized mouse which I used for my previous laptop. My mind was made up that I would get a wireless Logitech mouse so I shopped around for the best deal in the web. It took me a while but then I finally found one over at Buy.com where they were selling the Logitech V450 Cordless Laser Mouse for only $19 after rebates.
