Bidvertiser WordPress Plugin and FeedBurner Solution

Earlier this month Bidvertiser added RSS advertising into their lineup of services and gave Bidvertiser publishers and advertisers another monetizing option. With the success of this new ad avenue, Bidvertiser announced today that they have added a WordPress plugin and FeedBurner solution that will help bloggers keep their current feed address if they choose to run Bidvertiser ads on their feeds.

Yahoo Joins OpenID Bandwagon

Last week, TechCrunch reported that Google, IBM and Verisign were on the late stages of discussion with people from the OpenID Foundation regarding joining OpenID 2.0. Well, earlier today Yahoo announced that they have already joined OpenID bandwagon.

Yahoo brings with them around 250 million user IDs which triples the current number of valid OpenIDs which previously only amounted to 120 million OpenIDs. Yahoo’s OpenID service will be available for public beta on the 30th of january. However, it is not yet known whether Yahoo would allow users with third party OpenIDs to login to Yahoo.

Dreamhost Billing Nightmare

Yesterday, while I was checking my inbox I was surprised when I got an email from Dreamhost saying that they’ve already billed me for the next cycle. As far as I know my next bill wasn’t due until like 3 months from now and I also noticed in the email I received that the date was wrong - today’s date: 2008-12-31, so I knew it was an error. I immediately sent an email to Dreamhost’s billing department telling them about the error.

Gizmodo Plays Nasty Prank at 2008 CES

A few hours ago, the guys at Gizmodo posted a confession about a nasty prank they played in this year’s CES at Las Vegas. Armed with TV-B-Gone clickers, Gizmodo bloggers went around and started shutting off TV displays of different company exhibits or booths, even turning off a whole wall of TVs. The nastiest part was interfering with Motorola representatives while doing their presentation.

Earlier today, the folks at NewsGator announced that FeedDemon, NetNewsWire and all other RSS reader products are now available for FREE! Aside from that, all NewsGator products include free web-based synchronization to other services. With synchronization, users will be able to view their RSS content the same way no matter where or when they read it. Ain’t that neat?
