A few months back, I featured the Sakura Wordpress theme and many of you liked it especially the ladies. Well here’s a treat for you. The guys over at area381 has finally come up with an update, a 3 column version of Sakura.

This new version of Sakura now has 2 sidebars and is still widget ready so you can put more widgets to heart’s content. Sakura 3 columns theme has also been tested in all major browsers namely IE 6 and 7, Firefox, Opera and Safari. Flock users don’t have to worry coz if it works with Firefox, I’m sure it’ll also work with Flock.

WordPress 2.2.2 & 2.0.11 Security Upgrades

Security-related upgrades were released earlier today for users of both the 2.2 branch and 2.0 legacy branch or WordPress. Wordpress 2.2.2 and 2.0.11 addresses certain security issues and some minor bug fixes so you won’t have to worry about it messing up your Wordpress theme or plugins.

If you’re an intermediate user or familiar with WordPress files and folders, you don’t have to do a full upgrade. All you need to do is identify the modified files, get the updated ones and then overwrite the existing ones on your web folder. (Assuming that you’re already running version 2.2.1).

Found this article from Derek Punsalan’s blog 5ThirtyOne.

Templates Browser dot com is collecting Wordpress & Joomla public themes and modifying them by inserting hidden spam or malware links that can compromise the end user then re-distributing it in their site. These spam and malware links are inserted in a functions.php file that comes with each theme download.

Derek’s popular Wordpress theme 5ThirtyOne V2 is one of the themes being re-distributed by Templates Browser. Other themes in their list include the Fresh theme by iLemoned and the NotSo Fresh theme which I previously used here in my blog.

Posted my last blog update about two months ago. Since then, I’ve done some changes and updates.

I added this plugin coz for the mean time I’ll be using the < more > tag while I work on something to customize the way my posts are displayed.
