When I first blogged about the 2007 Philippine Blog Awards, I did it to help promote the event. I had no idea that my blog would eventually be a part of it.
As soon as the nomination period started, I frequented the site and kept track of all the updates. I was happy to see my blogger friends on the list. Even if my blog wasn’t on the list I wasn’t disappointed coz I …

Be careful with what blogs you visit. Google’s Blogger.com is reportedly being hijacked by scammers to spread malware through fake blogs. Security experts are calling this the “fake blog scam”. Blog hopping or surfing hasn’t been this dangerous.
Scammers are creating what would seem as a normal-looking blogs with ordinary topics like “Star Wars, school, furniture, Christmas, cars and girlfriends” to host a variety of script-initiated malware. What’s scary is that it’s virtually …

Time once again for blog updates where I talk about and list the things I’ve added or changed in my blog.
First stop, I added the FeedBlitz email service so that you, my beloved readers and future readers would have another option of receiving this blog’s feeds through email. It’s easier than using a RSS reader or aggregator coz all you have to do to subscribe is enter your email address and confirm it. Everytime …

Zenlike is a 2 column fixed width, widget friendly, right sidebar wordpress theme with a zen touch. This theme is designed by NodeThirtyThree and ported to Wordpress by Theme Porter.
Screenshot:
My Take:
On a scale of 1 to 5 and 5 being the highest, I give the Zenlike a 3.5. I like the way it’s designed, simple and clean. The color scheme is good but I think the shade …

There’s been a long running debate on the use of full or partial feeds. Some bloggers believe that partial feeds is the best type of feed to use while others think the opposite and that full feeds is the way to go. This is quite a confusing topic.
A couple months ago, I was debating with myself whether to use partial feeds or full feeds. Since late last year, my feeds were all partial because I …

For those of you who use Firefox, I’m sure you’re familiar with it’s inline spell checking feature. Wordpress has it’s spell check option but I never use it because of Firefox’s automatic inline spell checking. It helps me when I write or proofread my drafts. Makes it easier and faster because it immediately underlines a misspelled word with a red line.
However, some Firefox users are having problems with the inline spell checking function not …

If you liked the WP Tiger Administration admin theme that I featured in Pimp My WP Dashboard Part I, I’m sure you’re gonna love this one!
Sunghwa Park or known on the web as Ceprix, felt the need to create a Wordpress admin panel theme. So he drew inspiration from Mac OS X Tiger’s desktop search tool Spotlight and the Milk theme by Max Rudberg and created SpotMilk.
Since it’s first release, SpotMilk …

I like surfing the web for new themes. Whenever I find a WP theme that I like, I try to test it even though I won’t use it on my blog. One of the themes that I like is Redoable 1.1
Redoable is a 3 column, widget and module ready Wordpress theme created by Dean J. Robinson. Redoable was built using the code of the popular Wordpress theme K2 with a lot of modifications …

I’ve read about bloggers having problems with their visual text editors. Whether the Tiny MCE buttons (bold, italic, link, block quote) were missing or the visual editor itself doesn’t show up. Most of the time, the problem occurred after upgrading to Wordpress 2.1 or later versions. I wasn’t really concerned since I don’t use the visual text editor.
When I upgraded to Wordpress 2.1.2, I tried enabling the visual text editor, to check if it …

Recently I talked about OpenID, what it is and how it works. A few hours ago, it was announced on the Wordpress.com blog that Wordpress.com users can now use their Wordpress.com URLs as an OpenID. That’s good news for me and for others who wanna try it, coz I’ve been wanting to try out OpenID and I don’t have to create one since I already have a Wordpress.com account.
Now that I have my …
